PARTICIPATION:
1) Participation in 7th DUBAI OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
is open for all players.
2) All chess players may be accepted, but in this
case the participating players shall pay the accommodation
expenses during the period of championship in United
Arab Emirates.
TOURNAMENT VENUE:
The 7th DUBAI OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP will be held
in DUBAI from 3rd To 13th April 2005, in DUBAI CHESS
& CULTURE CLUB.
PLAYING CONDITIONS:
1. The 7th DUBAI OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP will be
played in 9 rounds according to the Swiss System.
2. 1 hour 30 minutes for the whole game with an incremental
time of 30 seconds per move.
DAILY PROGRAMME:
The Chief Arbiter will announce the daily program
at the beginning of the tournament according to tournament
schedule for the 7th DUBAI OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP.
ARBITRATION & COMMITTEE OF APPEAL:
The chief arbiter and the organizing committee will
nominate the arbitration team and the Appeal Committee
will be selected according to the provisions of FIDE
regulation.
Sheikh Rashed Bin Hamdan Al Mactoum CUP:
The custody of Sheikh Rashed Bin Hamdan Al Mactoum
CUP is the Challenge Trophy of the 7th DUBAI OPEN
CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP, the Champion player will be awarded
the custody of Sheikh Rashed Bin Hamdan Al Mactoum
Cup.

* If two or more players share the same place, the
money will be equally shared. The awarding of the
Cup will be decided in case of sharing the first place
by the average rating of the 8 strongest opponents
who share first place.
Special prizes for local players U.S.$ 6000
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION:
1. The personally invited Grandmasters with an Elo
rating of above 2600(1/1/2005) will be provided a
free accommodation in single room, 3 stars hotel .The
personally invited Grandmasters with an Elo rating
between (2550 - 2599) will be provided a free accommodation
in double room in 3 stars hotel and will have to share
the room with another Grandmaster.( there is limited
number of rooms available, and the priority will be
given to the earliest registration players .)
2. The personally invited Grandmasters are provided
accommodation one day prior to the inauguration and
one day after the closing ceremony of the championship.
3. The Dubai Chess & Culture Club will arrange
entry visa and hotel booking for the other participants;
they have to pay the accommodation expenses during
the period of championship in Dubai - United Arab
Emirates.
HOW TO REACH DUBAI:
The Dubai International Airport is the main port
entry to DUBAI and is centrally located with daily
connection flights to and from major airports. Reception
committee shall meet participants at the airport to
facilitates their entry formalities and escort them
to their hotel.
VISAS:
Entry Visas to U.A.E will be issued for all participants
and valid 15 day's only from the arrival date and
can be resaved at the Dubai International airport
to (all invited participants and all players who send
a registration form and passport copy)

passport copy, passport particulars of participants,
and return the same to the Dubai Chess & Culture
